BitStarz Review: Baccarat Tables and Bonus Rules

BitStarz is a crypto-and-fiat casino for adults outside a long restricted list in clause 3.6 of its terms, which starts with the United States, Puerto Rico, Greece and the United Kingdom and also covers Spain, France and the Netherlands among others. Its operator, Gareton B.V., is a Curaçao company (number 160656) and its licence, OGL/2024/165/0185 from the Curaçao Gaming Authority, is printed in the footer beside a CGA seal. As a baccarat venue BitStarz is modest: a handful of RNG and live tables rather than a full studio range, a bonus that counts baccarat at only 5%, but fast, fee-free withdrawals and only 1x deposit turnover.

We looked at BitStarz’s terms (last updated 25 June 2025), its bonus terms and its table and live lobbies on 7 October 2026. The lobby view came through a Canadian connection; BitStarz says some studios block certain countries, so your list may differ.

Where you can and cannot play

Clause 3.6 bars deposits and real-money play from a long list. Besides the US and Puerto Rico, the UK with its overseas territories, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Gibraltar, it names Greece, Spain, France and its territories, the Netherlands, Portugal, Poland, Brazil and Russia, plus dozens of others. Read the whole list on the terms page before you register; playing from a blocked country risks your winnings.

A second list in the bonus terms covers countries that may play but cannot receive bonuses: Finland, Austria, Croatia, Slovenia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. For a baccarat player that second list matters little, since the bonus is a poor fit for the game anyway.

Studio restrictions add a third layer. Clauses 4.3 to 4.5 list countries where particular providers cannot be offered, and clause 4.3 warns that dodging such a block with a VPN can cost you your winnings.

Checking the Curaçao licence

1. Find the licence line in the footer or clause 1.2: Gareton B.V., OGL/2024/165/0185.
2. Open cga.cw and look the number or company up in the Curaçao Gaming Authority’s register.
3. Match the domain and status with what BitStarz shows.
4. If the lookup fails, wait and try again. Two intrusions into the CGA portal in September 2026 (17 and 22 September) left it down into October (still offline on the 2nd), and the regulator has said that existing licences are unaffected.

The legal basis is Curaçao’s LOK, which took effect on 24 December 2024 and ended the era of master licences and sublicences. Older reviews that talk about a Curaçao sublicence describe a regime that no longer exists.

Baccarat tables at BitStarz

BitStarz files its card games under Table Games and its dealer games under Live Casino. On 7 October 2026 we found these baccarat titles:

That is a small selection next to the dozens of tables at Evolution-heavy casinos, and we saw no squeeze, speed, Lightning or no-commission table from our test location. The live lobby has a “Load More” button, so the full list may be a little longer, and players in other countries may see different studios. Expect each live table to show its limits on entry; BitStarz does not publish them.

The BitStarz Originals section, which holds the casino’s in-house games, linked to blackjack and roulette titles when we checked, not to a baccarat. None of the baccarat titles above is described as provably fair, so you are trusting each provider’s tested RNG and, at the live tables, the studio’s own dealing controls. Picking between the RNG titles

RNG baccarat games differ in decks, side bets and payouts even when the main rules match. Before you play, open each title’s info panel and check three things: the Banker commission (5% is standard), the Tie payout (8 to 1 is common; 9 to 1 is better for the player), and any side bets. Wizard of Odds puts the eight-deck house edge at roughly 1.06% for Banker and 1.24% for Player, against 14.36% for a Tie paid at 8 to 1. Why the welcome bonus does not suit baccarat

The headline offer is up to 5 BTC with 180 free spins, spread over the first four deposits, with 40x wagering on bonus money and a seven-day limit on each welcome bonus. Several clauses in the bonus terms decide what that means at a baccarat table:

Clearing a small bonus on baccarat: the numbers

Suppose you take a 0.005 BTC bonus. At 40x you owe 0.2 BTC of wagering. With baccarat counting 5%, that becomes 4 BTC of actual baccarat bets. Bet the maximum allowed 0.00006 BTC per hand and you need more than 66,000 hands inside seven days, which no human session plan can deliver.

Cost is the other problem. Even on Banker, 4 BTC of bets carries an expected loss of about 0.042 BTC, more than eight times the 0.005 BTC bonus. Put plainly, claiming the welcome bonus and then playing baccarat turns a promotional gift into a guaranteed loss on paper. Turnover and withdrawals

Without a bonus, the friction is low. Clause 9.9 makes every deposit subject to 1x wagering as an anti-money-laundering measure, and 8.7.5 repeats that deposits must be played through at least once before a withdrawal. One pass at baccarat does it: a 0.02 BTC deposit needs 0.02 BTC of bets, which on Banker should cost around 0.0002 BTC in the long run.

• Speed: clause 8.7.1 sets a one-hour target for payouts, while warning that some take longer.
• Fees: neither BitStarz nor its payment processor charges for a withdrawal, though your bank might (8.7.10).
• Large wins: “substantial wins” can be paid in monthly instalments, with no threshold defined (8.7.3).
• Checks: the payments team can request extra verification during any withdrawal (8.7.4), and a phone call can be part of KYC (8.7.11).

For live baccarat at higher stakes, verify early. A first big withdrawal is the moment a document request is most likely, and BitStarz’s terms let it request identity papers, a recent address document and evidence that the payment method is yours. Sending clear scans before you need the money keeps a winning night from turning into a week of email.

Funding baccarat at BitStarz

BitStarz holds crypto and fiat in one account. Twelve coins are on its payments page, among them BTC, ETH, LTC, USDT, USDC, SOL, XRP and DOGE, with entry points as low as 0.0001 BTC or 10 USDT. On the fiat side you can hold EUR, USD, CAD, AUD, NZD, JPY or NOK.

For a baccarat player the mixed cashier has one real advantage: you can keep a stable unit (USDT, USDC or a fiat currency) for table play and still withdraw in crypto. BitStarz does not convert between crypto and fiat itself (8.6.5), so pick the currency before you deposit. A first baccarat session at BitStarz, step by step

1. Check clause 3.6 for your country, then register with a real email address you can verify.
2. Choose the account currency you want to bet in. A stablecoin or fiat balance keeps baccarat units steady; Bitcoin works too if you accept price swings.
3. Open the cashier and decline the deposit bonus before you send funds. Once a bonus is accepted, the deposit is tied to it until wagering is finished or the bonus is cancelled.
4. Send at least the minimum for your coin and wait for network confirmation; the balance appears when the deposit confirms.
5. Open Table Games or Live Casino, choose a baccarat title and read its info panel for commission, Tie payout and side bets.
6. Decide a stop-loss and a session length, then stick to Banker or Player as your main bet.

Following those steps avoids the two mistakes we see most often with BitStarz: locking a deposit into a slot bonus that table play cannot clear, and drifting into Tie and pair bets because they pay more per win.

Small stakes over Lightning

Lightning is offered as its own Bitcoin deposit option at BitStarz, with the same 0.0001 BTC minimum as on-chain Bitcoin. For a baccarat player who prefers short sessions with a few dollars at an RNG table, that is the most practical way to fund play in BTC without paying an on-chain fee that could be a large share of a small deposit.

Two cautions apply. Lightning invoices expire, so generate a fresh one for each deposit rather than reusing an old request. And Lightning only changes how coins reach the casino; once credited, the balance behaves like any other BTC balance, including the bonus rules and the 1x turnover above. For withdrawals, check in the cashier which routes are offered for your coin before you assume Lightning works in both directions.

What changed since our previous BitStarz review

The earlier version of this page dated from the site’s early years and is now wrong on several points. It said BitStarz accepted US players; the United States is the first entry on the restricted list today. It named a payment processor that no longer appears in BitStarz’s materials, described all games as provably fair, and quoted a 200-spin welcome offer and weekly bonuses that are no longer advertised.

This version is built from BitStarz’s current terms and lobby instead. Where we could not confirm something, such as which live studio runs each baccarat table, the page says so openly.

We did not see one. The Originals section linked to blackjack and roulette titles, and the baccarat games in the table and live sections came from outside studios. None of them is described as provably fair.
